Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)
  2. 1 bag of Marshmallows (10 oz)
  3. 6 cups of Rice Krispies
  4. 9 Graham crackers broken into bite sized pieces (1 package or about 2 cups)
  5. 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Lightly butter a 9 x 13 pan
  2. In a large saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, stir in marshmallows until melted. Remove from heat and stir in rice krispies and graham cracker pieces. Allow to cool for a minute or two- mixture will still be warm and spreadable but not hot. Quickly fold in chocolate chips and press in prepared pan. Eat warm or once cooled slice into squares. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
  1. I prefer 1 stick of butter- it keeps the rice krispie treats softer. You can get away with 4 to 5 Tbsp of butter but the results will be drier and firmer.
